I’m gonna miss everyone :(

Hi guys!

Due to school and other commitments, I won’t have time to update this blog anymore… 😦 😦 😦 😦 😦 Trust me, I’ve really been trying my best to find time to post more often but blogging takes up a lot of time for me… It was hard coming to this decision but I’ve figured out it was sooner or later that I would stop blogging.

I’ll really really really miss you guys, especially my followers, and frequent comment-ers. I would definitely never ever forget you guys. It would be great if we could still keep in touch! It would be pretty cool, actually. My blogging journey was pretty short but I guess I’ve learnt a whole lot about anime reviewing and blogging. Most importantly, I’ve made many many many friends that share a common interest – anime guys! 😉

It’s really comforting to see that there’s so many other fans out there that share the same taste in guys as me! Hahaha!
Then again that just means that I’ve discovered more love rivals… Damn.

You might’ve already guessed that I’ll “retire” from this blog sooner or later from the infrequent updates… I sincerely apologise, really. If only I had time, I would continue updating it, sharing my views about animes and of course anime guys. I never fail to have loads of fun coming up with quirky anime reviews, which consist of sourcing for awesome screenshots including glamorous photos of our handsome guys, wrecking my brains over how I should orientate or resize the screenshots and where to place them, trying my best to inject humour as much as I can into my review, hunting for grammar errors so as to not embarrass myself, and smiling foolishly to the computer screen as I read my final draft of the post before publishing it.

I’ll definitely miss the sense of satisfaction and achievement of clicking the “Publish” button every time I complete a post. And of course, not to forget, that little excited skip of my heartbeat whenever someone comments on my post or likes it. You have no idea how much small gestures like these brightens up my day.

I’m going to miss all of that. 😦

Nevertheless, I am not going to simply disappear from the face of the earth WordPress! I will still try my best to check comments and reply them whenever I’m free. If there is any need, you can contact me at my Facebook, in which I am more active on.

I’ll honestly miss you guys. And of course, thank you very very very much for being a significant part of my blogging journey. ❤

I love each and every one of you. 🙂

Written from the bottom of my heart.

Daily Lives of High School Boys

Also known as Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou, or Danshiko, for short.

Daily Lives of High School Boys is about… the daily lives of high school boys. A slice of life anime about high school boys, instead of girls, for once.

The title says it all. I need not explain more, do I? – Girls, pranks, school, boredom, and more girls… It’s just another normal day for the boys. If you’re a fan of slice of life comedies (or even high school boys), then this series is for you.

I mean, what could possibly be more interesting than the daily lives of high school boys? 😉

I’m sorry D:

Hi guys!

Sorry I haven’t been posting in awhile, I’ve been really swamped up with school work and other external activities. I would like to apologise to everyone, especially my beloved followers. Major exams are creeping around the corner, so I’ve really got to start studying.

I-I deserve to be punished. 😦

No prizes if you correctly guess how many times Angela whipped Sebastian. 😉

I sincerely do want to produce good reviews for all of you so I do actually spend a great amount of time writing a blog post – 4 hours for a full blog post, at the very least. I also tend to be somewhat a perfectionist when it comes to things that I take pride in.

… And I also spend, well, almost the majority of the time, choosing images to use for reviews. It’s actually my favourite part of a review. Screenshots and images just convey everything so easily.

I could give you a list of things I’m currently occupied in but I guess I want to keep this blog about anime guys and not about myself.

So all in all, please do continue supporting animeguyspl0x and I’ll resume posting in November. If I really do have time I’ll do a review.

Thank you so much everyone. I seek your understanding. 🙂

I’m going to Japan!!!!!!

… In late November, for a week.

Alright alright, I know there’s still a long long way to go, but I’m already so excited and fidgety. I can’t stop thinking about it! And my parents allowed me to plan my own itinerary, meaning that I can go anywhere I want to. They are also allowing me to roam around on my own. 😀

The thing is, I’ve only been to Japan once, and that was a really long time ago – when I was half the size I am now. I don’t really know the place well, and we’re not going on a tour, so I need recommendations on where to go! And I can’t speak Japanese, so I’m going to have a really hard time getting around. I wish someone could bring me around. 😦

I am proud to present my otaku to-do list in Japan:

  1. Drown myself in good-looking 2D guys at Otome Road in Ikebukuro, and look at BL stuff without feeling embarrassed. I wonder if they allow girls below 18, but I think I look 18 anyway.
  2. Experience a butler cafe – I’m thinking Swallowtail, but I heard you need reservations… But how!?
  3. Feel the otaku atmosphere at Akihabara.
  4. Experience a moe maid cafe. @home cafe seems like a hot spot!
  5. Ogle at Admire awesome cosplayers at Harajuku.
  6. Shop for otaku related merchandise at Nakano Broadway.
  7. Have fun at the Sunshine Namja Town in Sunshine City.
  8. Visit the Ghibli Museum. This also requires ordering of tickets in advance, but they don’t have the ordering service in my country. I could try ordering it at a Lawson store in Japan, but chances are rather slim because I heard people book tickets 3 months in advance. 😦
  9. Find a Japanese boyfriend, run away from my parents, elope with him, and live together happily ever after.

Am I missing out on anything? Your recommendations or perhaps travel tips would be great! And if you’ve been to Japan before, I’d love to hear your experiences. 😀

I wish we could all go to Japan and hyperventilate over anime guys together. It’s always more fun to do things together (and also less embarrassing 😛 ). I can’t possibly do that with my parents – they don’t understand my unhealthy obsession over what they call “cartoons”, but they accept me for who I am and let me do what I want (well, as long as I obtain good results anyway).

I’m really fortunate. 🙂

The Second Reproduction

Yay for another otome! I love otomes, and I can never get enough of them. Please do recommend me some otomes so I can devour them. Nom nom nom.

This time, it’s The Second Reproduction (TSR), in which you’re a playing as a princess that embarks on a dangerous mission to slay the evil Demon Lord – or not? Well, you should get the idea. 😉 And your handsome knight in shiny armour stubbornly tags along despite your protests.

Sounds like fun.

Durarara!!

I rarely watch shows with suspense, mystery, supernatural and all that yada-yada, but when someone asks me what my favourite suspense show is, the first show that comes to my mind is Durarara!!.

It wasn’t a show that I liked from the start. Yes, it had pretty neat art, but I hardly watched these kind of ~deep~ shows so I was really confused at the start. Yes, I immerse myself in sparkling shojos and whatnot, so this wasn’t a show I’d go for. However, Durarara!! received overwhelmingly good reviews so I decided to give it a shot. And there weren’t any regrets. 😀 In fact, I’m really happy I didn’t ever put it down.

If you like suspense, action or supernatural themed shows, you should definitely give Durarara!! a go. The characters are lovable, the storyline is filled with lots of surprises, and the action is awesome. All of that with a tinge of modern reality.

I need to study :(

Oh, the joy of being a student in a society where the focus is on your grades. You can’t do this, you can’t do that, if you don’t have that golden A plus on your result slip. And I’m not talking about just A (which is A for Average, hahaha), I’m talking about A plus.

So off I go to face the pile of homework I have been neglecting for a really long time. I sometimes turn to anime and manga to escape the harsh realities of, well, harsh reality. Which does explain why I would prefer not to watch an anime that brings out the harshness of harsh reality, so harsh that it couldn’t be more harsh; that would only make me hate reality more than I already do.

On a side note, I like hash browns. Psst, I had better hush my use of “harsh”. Man, this is fun (anything is fun whenever you have homework left undone, even staring at the ceiling).

I’ve been told I wouldn’t have a future if I don’t study, and get good grades, which goes without saying, so what other choice do I have? Shrugs.

I aspire to be a millionaire (or marry one), so I guess I have to work hard. Now where was that story about millionaires having bad school grades..

Update: I forgot to mention this, but I’ll post something by early May once my exams are over. I’m really sorry about all this. As much as I would like to update this blog as often as possible, I guess studies come first. After all, studies always come first. Sigh.

Pandora Hearts

For some reason, my previous Pandora Hearts post had an entire chunk of text and pictures missing… So I’m publishing the complete Pandora Hearts post here. Sorry for any inconvenience and hope you enjoy my post! 🙂

Do you like fantasy or mystery animes? Especially one with twists? How about something that keeps you in suspense? All of this sprinkled with humour and of course, some butt-kicking action?

Then Pandora Heart’s for you.

I’m finally doing a review on my all-time favourite anime! Well, I have to admit that I have quite a few favourites, because like most people I just can’t exactly make up my mind. It’s quite difficult to choose an all-time favourite anime. I truly admire people who can do that. However, I can safely say that Pandora Hearts is my favourite fantasy anime. :D

That Cheap and Sacred Thing

Looking for a game that won’t take too much of your time? Why not try That Cheap and Sacred Thing (TCAST)?

TCAST is a short, drama + sci-fi kinectic novel that made me cry. I’ve never cried playing any games – but hey, look, here I am crying in front of the computer. I recommend this to everyone out there, because it is a great kinetic novel that evokes a lot of emotion, and provokes a lot of thought. In addition, TCAST explores themes like  robots (androids, in this case), and their relationship with us humans. Despite taking only less than an hour to complete, I thoroughly enjoyed every part of TCAST.
